Then an idea was born - to make this pastry popular all over the world. The enthusiasts developed their business idea bringing it from a single thought to a working business model.

About Kurtos Kalacs
Kurtos Kalacs also known as KürtÅ‘skalács, Chimney Cake, Chimney Cone, Trdelnik, Makara, Baumstriezel... is an irresistible, delicious, aromatic, usually warm pastry... in which you just fall in love at first bite... In most of the tourist travel notes from the land of Transylvania, you will find stories about it. The Kurtos is made from entirely natural ingredients, wrapped like a ribbon around a wooden roller, heavily sprinkled with sugar and baked above an open fire or in specially designed ovens. While it's still hot it could be covered with sprinkles or left in its natural look with shiny and crispy covering over the golden crust. The strange name derives from the Hungarian word kürtÅ‘ that refers to chimney, because of its shape and the smoke coming out of it when it is hot. KürtÅ‘skalács is a national Hungarian pastry.

We built our base in Gabrovo, Bulgaria specially for the Kurtos Training Program. Here you will learn the main facts about the dough making and rising process. You will be trained how to make Kurtos Kalacs by a certified professional pastry & bakery chef who will also support you on-line after starting your business. We can train you in English, Russian and Bulgarian...
Of course at the end you will receive a Certificate of Training.

About the Frozen Dough
In early 2012 we expanded our Kurtos business to the next level - we created a production line for frozen Kurtos dough balls in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. We invested in the latest equipment for dough-kneading, dough-shaping and shock-freezing. The final result is a high-quality product - frozen dough, which is preferred by Bulgarian Kurtos Kalacs bakers.
